Telephone Assistance Programs

The FCC Lifeline Program provides reduced phone bills for customers who are receiving benefits from one or more of the following programs: Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Section 8 Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA), Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and household income at or below 135% of federal poverty guidelines. These programs provide monthly assistance on phone bills. Tribal Lifeline is offered to low-income individuals who also qualify for Bureaus of Indian Affairs general assistance, Head Start income qualifiers and Food distribution programs on Indian Reservations. These programs provide monthly assistance on phone bills and assistance with service connections charges.
